We knew months before it was either a benign bone marrow malignancy - treatable - or cancer. Asia's blood tests came back. It's -just- the former, thrombocitosis. Still sucks, sure, but we are so relieved I want to tell the world! She was so brave, I wish everyone such strength. Today we went for her to get a bone marrow biopsy taken, to conclude if it isn't myofibrylosis - the results will be in 3 weeks, but the doc said if it were it, the blood screen would have shown other spikes. We did it anyway just to stay safe - even if it were that condition, there are treatments available. The summary is - it's NOT cancer. Blood platelets are produced in abnormal quantities which raises risk of heart attacks in later years, but it's all treatable and manageable with asprin. We will manage. We are so relieved. Music is back on the menu, boys and girls.

We went to Sweden, Gothenburg, just like last year except this time we've decided to stay in the city itself for the whole duration, instead of 50-50 between the city and countryside. The trip was fantastic and I have some nice audio from there, although I haven't recorded as much as I had initially planned. The trip turned more into a pure, thoughtless relaxation rather than a soundhunting venture, and I can't say I regret it - it was much needed. If you ever visit there, make sure to go by the Slottsskogen (huge park in the city centre) and its Museum of Natural History (it's absolutely fantastic). Other places I can wholeheartedly recommend are the scenic Haga district, the ports, the Universeum (gigantic, 5-story science and education centre with its own little rainforest area, ocean and space areas, as well as lots of fun little things for kids and adults alike, among other things). We also took a ferry to Hönö, one of the Gothenburg archipelago's islands. The nature reserve there was absolutely breathtaking and it gave me the sense of connection with the Universe I was looking to get. Looking out into the North Sea, hearing the howling wind and watching waves crash against the dark stone was a meditative, cleansing experience.

Work on the new EP - Isolation - is ongoing, but slowed down considerably due to work, studies, and the current world situation. It gets to us. I will share my bits and pieces here, as I go through it all, in due time. I sometimes find myself feeling guilty for not focusing on the creative process, but then do my best to compartmentalise and adapt. Nobody taught us 'how to self-organise when the world starts to collapse around ourselves', but we each find our own way eventually, For now, I would invite you to follow me on: - Twitter - the YouTube channel
